Borrowing Information

The Tri-Township Public Library District is part of the Lewis and Clark Library System (LCLS). LCLS is a regional, multitype library system consisting of 151 member libraries throughout southwestern Illinois. As a member of this sytem, Tri-Township PLD users can request books and other items from other member libraries.  

Online Catalog

  This is an interface to the Lewis and Clark Library System catalog. You may browse the catalog by clicking on the "Guest" button. To place requests, you need to provide your library card number (the 13-digit number on the back of your library card) and then click on the "LOGIN' button.Your default pin number is the last four digits of your telephone number.(Please contact the library at 618-667-2133 for assistance.)

Loan Periods

Videos, music CDs and magazines:

1 week

All other items:

3 weeks

Specially requested items that are obtained from libraries outside the Lewis and Clark Library System may be subject to different loan periods.


Items owned by Tri-Township PLD:

2 renewals

Items may not be renewed where there are other patrons waiting for such items. Items owned by other libraries are subject to owning library rules.


Overdue Fines (in system):

10 cents a day

Overdue Fines (out of system):

$1.00 a day

Returning non-book items to the outside book return:

$1.00 per item

Item lost or damaged beyond repair:

Replacement cost plus $5.00

Audiobooks, book/tape kits, and videos should be returned to the inside book return to prevent damage to these items.
