September Kid's Corner


Fun dates  1 VJ Day, Newpaper Carrier Day, 6 Labor Day, 8 Literacy Day, 11 Patriot Day, 12 Grandparents Day, 13 Chocolate Day, 17 Constitution Day, 19 POW-MIA Day, 23 Autumn Equinox, 26 Johnny Appleseed Day,  Sept 25 - Oct 2 Banned Books Week. September is also the month to remember Fruit & Veggies, Sports and Home Eye Safety, Good Manners, Honey, Little League, Apples, Sewing, and Mushrooms.

Preschool Storytime
resumes Sept 7th from 10-11. The September themes are: 7th Monkeys, 14th Peace, 21st Butterflies, and 28th Dogs.

Little Me Storytime - Sept 13, 10:30 to 11:00. Lapsit program for young children ages 0 to 2 years. Includes music, simple stories, and playtime.

Lego Club resumes this Month on September 20th from 4-5. All ages are welcome.

Find It - all day every Wednesday, starting September 8, something will be hidden in the children's department. Check at the front desk to find what to look for, search in the children's department and when you find it tell someone at the front desk where it was without distubing it and get a prize.

Pinwheels For "Whirled" Peace - Come into the library and make a pinwheel anytime between September 13th and 21st. All pinwheels will be on display outside the library on International Peace Day, September 21st.

Family Storytime Program:
Saturday Sept. 25th from 1-2:30. National Road expert John Goldsmith will be presenting the history of the National Road Hightway 40. Program will include Conestoga Wagon, rope making demonstration, historical children's games and toys, crafts and more.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. If you don't have a library card, have your parents sign you up.
