The Tri-Township Public Library is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System. Tri-Township Public Library cardholders have full privileges at all Illinois Heartland Library System Public Libraries.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Residents of the Triad School District may obtain library cards. For those living within the library taxing district boundary your fee is paid through your property taxes. For those living outside the library taxing district a fee for the household is charged. The current fee is posted on the Library Card web page. Persons who live outside the taxing district but own a business or property within the taxing district may obtain 1 free card per household or business (a copy of the tax bill showing ownership is required). LIBRARY RULES OF CONDUCT

  • No smoking in the library building or within 25 feet of any door or window that opens.
  • All drinks must have a lid. 
  • Language and behavior must be acceptable to a public place.
  • Respect the personal space of other library users.
  • Move away from other patrons when using your cell phone and keep your voice at a private level.
  • Respect library materials and furniture.
  • Closely supervise children in your care who are under 6 years old.
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by someone over 10 years old.
  • Do not solicit services, attempt to sell items, or campaign on the premises.

Account: Takes you to your library account page where you can check the status of items requested and checked out, your reading history and request items from the library system. To log-in enter the numbers under the barcode on the the back of your library card and password. Your password is initially set to the last four digits of your phone number. Once logged in you may create a user name and change your password.

OTHER LIBRARY SERVICES

The following services are available to the public:

Notary Service - The library has three staff members who are licensed notaries. Service is available most weekdays during normal library hours. Call ahead to ensure one our notaries will be available when you come. -Free.

Public Use Computers with Internet Access and Microsoft Office capabilities –Free.

A self-service black and white copier - prints are $0.15  per printed side.

Color printing and copy service - $0.50 per printed side.

Back issues of Troy, Illinois newspapers are available online in a searchable format using the library computer lab. 

Fax Service - We send and receive faxes for 50 cents a page within the U.S. 

The Friends of the Library used book sale occurs from 9am-12pm on the first Friday and third Saturday of each month in the library community room.

The Troy Genealogical and Historical Societies maintain resources downstairs. These are available on an appointment basis. If interested, ask for more information at the circulation desk.
